All of these signs indicate that you are experiencing nutrient deficiencies . This is because your skin, hair and nails are low priority structures in the body and any nutrient deficiencies will show up in these areas quickly. A nutrient deficiency is usually caused by a poor diet that is low in variety and nutrients. Or it can be due to a malabsorption problem in the digestive system.

There are a number of causes of malabsorption.

If you experience frequent abdominal bloating and gas; food allergies and intolerances - this may indicate leaky gut syndrome.

If you experience the symptoms of Leaky gut syndrome; fungal infections; hypoglycaemia; sugar cravings; poor memory and concentration - this may indicate candida overgrowth.
