Do you find it difficult to lose weight, unless
you dramatically reduce calories?
-
Have you found that your weight has increased, yet
you haven’t been eating different foods or exercising any less?
There are a number of conditions that a
combination of tiredness and weight gain may indicate, depending on other
accompanying symptoms. Read through the following list and click on the
highlighted conditions that you relate to the most. You may not experience
every symptom in the list and there may be more than one condition that you
relate to.
If you also experience low moods (not
necessarily depression); constipation; feel the cold easily; are near
menopausal age; and your weight gain is around the middle - this may indicate hypothyroidism.
Did your tiredness and weight gain occur
after a stressful event? Do you often worry about your circumstances or have
trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep? Do you have a hectic lifestyle and
you often 'burn the candle at both ends' with either work, study or partying?
Your tiredness may be due to stress.
If you also experience hypoglycemia; sugar
cravings; headaches; skin problems; feel unwell when you eat fatty foods -
this may indicate liver
congestion.
If you also experience hypoglycemia; sugar
cravings; frequent abdominal bloating and gas; fungal infections such as
thrush; poor memory - this may indicate candida
overgrowth.
