  • Do you find that after coming home from work or at the end of the day, you are completely drained? You may find it difficult to hold conversations with other family members and merely want to crash in front of the TV or go to straight to bed?
  • Do you avoid social events during the week, because you are too tired?

There are a number of conditions that this type of tiredness may indicate, depending on other accompanying symptoms. Read through the following list and click on the highlighted conditions that you relate to the most. You don't need to experience every symptom in the list and there may be more than one condition that you relate to.

If you experience low moods (not necessarily depression); constipation; difficulty losing weight; feel the cold easily - this may indicate hypothyroidism.

If you find it difficult to function properly in the mornings before a coffee; lead a hectic busy life and have done so for some time; are prone to chronic allergies, inflammation and digestive problems - this may indicate adrenal exhaustion.

Do you often worry about your circumstances or have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep? Do you have a hectic lifestyle and you often 'burn the candle at both ends' with either work, study or partying? Your tiredness may be due to sleep deprivation.
